Bailey Lohmann (any/all) is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and writer who grew up in mohkinstis/Calgary, and currently resides in amiskwaciwâskahikan/Edmonton. They completed their BFA in Art & Design at the University of Alberta in 2023. They work across several mediums including oil painting, digital art, illustration, animation,and graphic design. Their practice focuses on close-up renderings of interior spaces and everyday moments, and seeks to explore themes of translation and subjectivity. Bailey has had illustrations published in zines including Hungry (2022) and Coffee People (2022), as well as Sybil Journal (2023). Previous exhibition experience includes The November Show (dhARTworld, 2022), AA (dc3 Art Projects, 2023), I don’t know how, but I’m taller (FAB Gallery, 2023), and Growing Pains (dc3 Art Projects 2023). Bailey currently works as a production assistant for The Works Art & Design Festival. They love walking around cities and taking blurry pictures wherever they go.
